The end-winding has a support system against mechanical vibrations which can be deteriorated by high mechanical and electrical forces in that area. End-winding vibration monitoring detects high vibrations that can lead to the loosening of the supports, deterioration of the insulation material and, in more severe cases, cracks due to fatigue of the conductor.
