In the rotor magnetic flux monitoring the magnetic field of each rotor pole is measured to detect defects in field homogeneity. This monitoring is the most useful tool for detecting short circuits between rotor windings, which can reduce operating efficiency and generate high vibrations due to magnetic imbalance.
